"The ADF Reserves Strategic Review - Implementing the Recommendations"
The 2025 DRA National Conference is being held on Saturday 23rd August 2025 in Canberra, ACT.
The DRA National Conference will be of interest to Defence personnel from all Groups and Services, all-ranks and levels and from interested external organisations, and will be addressed by a panel of distinguished speakers including:
• Government and Opposition Spokespersons
• Senior ADF Officers and the Secretary of DVA
• Leading commentators on Defence and Veteran Affairs matters
Conference Program:
The Conference provides an excellent opportunity to hear about, and discuss the outcomes of the recent ADF Reserves Strategic Review and to understand the next steps in implementing the Review’s Recommendations. The Conference Program is being finalised and will be posted separately on the DRA Website and on ForceNet shortly.
All current and ex-serving ADF personnel are encouraged to attend the Conference.
Conduct of the Conference:
The Conference will be conducted using a hybrid model involving either attendance in person at the R1 Auditorium at Russell Offices in Canberra, or by a Webinar for those attending virtually.
The Presentations will be uploaded after the Conference for both in person and online attendees to access.
Dress for the Conference is business attire or the Service Dress equivalent for serving ADF personnel.

The R1 Auditorium at Russell Offices - 17 Sir Thomas Blamey Square, Russell, ACT 2600
Ample parking is available adjacent to R1.
When:
Saturday 23rd August 2025 running from 9.00am to 5.00pm AEST. Registration commences at 8.15am.
Post Conference Social Function:
The Conference will be followed by an informal drinks and canapes event at The Commonwealth Club Canberra (25 Forster Crescent, Canberra), commencing from 6pm.
Free parking is available in the Club precinct.
Dress is smart casual.
Cost:
• Conference attendance is $50 per person which includes morning tea and a light lunch.
• Social function is $90 per person.
• Conference webinar attendance: No charge for current financial DRA members. Please contact your State Branch Secretary to confirm your member status so you can register for the online Conference at no charge.
• Conference webinar attendance: $30 per person for non-DRA Members.

Recommended hotels in close proximity to the Conference venue include the: Sebel, Mercure Canberra and The Vibe (at Canberra Airport). Good deals are available if bookings are made early.
Defence Reserves Association National AGM
The DRA AGM will be held on Sunday 25 August 2024 from 8.30am (for registration), commencing at 9.00am until 11.00am AEST.
